The completion of the project and the water supply will greatly alleviate the current situation of insufficient sewage treatment capacity in the downtown area of Chengdu. The new sewage treatment process “Multiphase Combined Membrane Bioreactor Process (MP-MBR)” adopted by it will promote Chengdu The city’s reclaimed water reuse and water environmental quality have improved.

The third, fourth, fifth, and eighth sewage treatment plant expansion and upgrading renovation project in Chengdu started construction in October 2015, with an investment of about 1.28 billion yuan, aimed at alleviating the increasing demand for sewage treatment in the central city of Chengdu. After the completion of the project, it will fundamentally solve the problem of insufficient sewage treatment capacity in the downtown area of Chengdu, which is of great significance to the sustainable development of the city’s economy.
